Where do we even begin? We were recently first time home buyers and by chance we found Teresa thanks to a recommendation from a stranger. From the second we first met her, we knew she wasn’t the typical realtor. We went into this process completely clueless and terrified, we weren’t sure what to expect or how to navigate things. She answered more questions than we’ve ever asked anyone, and she was so patient with us. We toured probably 30 homes with Teresa and we had an absolute blast, we were obviously excited to see homes, but we never imagined we’d have as much fun as we did. She pointed out things to us during showings that never would’ve crossed our minds to even ask about or inspect. We learned about lots of things to look for, things to avoid, things that might be a real nuisance that we wouldn’t have otherwise noticed. We toured one home in particular and while we were in the basement, she noticed everything had evidence of being wet at some point. Just some rust on the bottoms of a few metal cans and certain things being elevated a few inches off the floor were enough for her to know that the place likely floods fairly often. We’d never have noticed any of that, but she made sure to point it out to us. Little stuff like that told us she really knew her stuff, and genuinely wanted us to end up in a home we were happy with. We submitted offers on three homes, missed out on two but landed the perfect house on number three. She was there to walk us through getting the inspection, getting the appraisal, coordinating with the current owners so we could accommodate our individual needs and timeline. All the way to closing she pretty much held our hands, there’s not a chance we could’ve made it through this process without her. Even now after we’ve closed and are getting ready to move in, she’s been right there with us to answer questions and even offered to help us out if we needed some extra hands. This was definitely a journey for us, we had some laughs, some uncertainty, some tears. We had to say goodbye to our dog mid way through this process, it was hard, and Teresa was just a call away right through all of it. Whether it was the crack of dawn or the middle of the night, if we needed anything at all she was right there. We did more than find a great realtor, we made a friend.
